TNCA UNDER 16 FIRST ROUND MATCHES, TRICHY
The TAMILNADU CRICKET ASSOCIATION (TNCA) Inter districts, age under 16, first round match started here in Saranathan Engineering college, Trichy today. The venue (The Tiruchirappalli District Cricket Association (TDCA) hosts matches for the district cricket associations of Trichy, Vellore, Dharmapuri and Tirupur.
MADAN KUMAR BOWLED OUT DHARMAPURI
Dharmapuri district cricket association faced Vellore District cricket association in Saranathan Engineering College, Trichy (In turf wicket). Elected to bat after won the toss, Dharmapuri was stunned by K. Madan Kumar who bowled his career best spell of 4 for 9 including a hat- trick of wickets restricted Dharmapuri to a low par score of 95 in 35.5 Overs. Winston Churchill managed to score 36 for Dharmapuri. Vellore DCA won the match by 8 wickets with a bonus point. (Score: 96/2 in 24.5 Overs) M.E. Tamil Diliban scored 27 for Vellore.
TRICHY IN GOOD CONTROL OVER TIRUPUR
In the matting wicket of the same ground, Trichy played against Tirupur. After won the toss and elected to bat, Trichy posed a challenging – formidable score of 237/9 in 50 Overs. M. Hari, R.S. Jagatheeswara Uthra and V. Sivi Javagar are the notable batsmen who consolidated Trichy’s innings with the scores of 56, 29 & 56 respectively. T.R Logeshwar took 3 for 55 for Tirupur. In reply DCA of Tirupur scored 166/9 in 50 Overs. Trichy won the match by 71 runs and also earned a bonus point. Hari V. Shewag scored 58 in the chase for Tirupur.
