At Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic, Nagapattinam, in the TNCA Inter Districts age group under 14, Round 1 match, Tirunelveli DCA faced Namakkal DCA. Namakkal won the toss and elected field first. Tirunelveli utilized the offer and scored 219 with the loss of 2 wickets in 50 overs. K. Giftson Gideon smashed an unbeaten 100 while G. Sriram scored a notable 42. Namakkal scored 48 runs in reply in 21 overs. S. Boothalingam took 4 wickets for 13 and G. Sriram took 3 wickets for 6 for Tirunelveli. Tirunelveli won by a mass margin of 171 runs and earned a bonus point.
