Welcome to My Match Report – 29.06.2014 Friends
We are going to witness the last match in the Salem Tour. I had umpired in Periyar University ‘A’ ground for the TNCA Inter Districts Under 25 match between Salem DCA and Namakkal DCA.
Salem DCA won the toss and elected to bat first. Salem and Namakkal DCA won their both the matches and this match would be the decider for Spot 1 and 2

Namakkal DCA displayed a decent bowling and fielding effort in their previous matches got improved much more than that for this match. Salem DCA was not able to score freely.
The credits are to their opening bowlers Karthick, Parthiban and Vinoth Kumar who maintained a tough line to score.

Salem scored 168 in 48.5 overs. Wicket Keeper Batsman R. Pradeep Kumar(40), S. Sathyamoorthy(35) and Captain K. Venkatapathi(35) performed with bat for Salem.

G. Vinoth Kumar bowled exceptionally well and picked 4 wickets
Namakkal started their chase steadily and positively with their captain and wicket keeper batsman striking in good form. Salem was looked stunned until they were being dismissed.

Captain Venkatapathi, Salem DCA bowled well and picked 5 wickets while M.S Pramod took 4 wickets to restrict Namakkal DCA within their score.
At the end Salem restricted Namakkal to 155 and won the match.
