Thanjavur DCA surprisingly started the chase majestically with Saravana Kumar(45) hitting hard. The first 10 overs were tough for Tirunelveli until Boothalingam scalped a wicket. But the actual disaster was waiting for Thanjavur then.

It came in the name of J. Prakash and Kishore Kumar. Yes J. Prakash scalped 7 wickets for 40 runs. However the thanjavur batsmen showed some resistance in the form of Arunesh(32) and Saran Nirmal Francisraj(31*). Tirunelveli Wicket keeper Kishore involved in 6 dismissals (1 caught behind and 5 Stumpings)
