TOSS
The toss for choice of innings. Stadium Cricket Academy ‘A’ won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Anil Memorial Sports Foundation started their innings cautiously scored nearly at the rate of 2.5 runs per over until 12th over and lost 4 wickets for 35 in 13 overs. Have a look at the images which would tell you more story. Let us meet after that to know what happenned then!
STORY FROM IMAGES
The best all-rounder of the DCAT 2nd Division – Season 2013-14, Dhinesh Kumar played a rescuer roll and scored half century which helped to post a challenging target of 211. Anil Memorial Sports Foundation scored 210/9 in 50 overs. S. Gokul picked 5 crucial wickets for Stadium Cricket Academy ‘A’.
A shock was awaiting when the Stadium Cricket Academy ‘A’ started their innings. Dinesh Kumar opened the bowling and picked the important wicket of their opponents. But it was then 15 wicket-less overs for Anil Memorial and again it was from Dhinesh in the 17th over. Anil Memorial SF was able to pick wickets in a span of 7 to 10 overs which was quite enough for Stadium to score runs.
Balachander, Saravanan and Mahendran performed for Stadium CA. Have some look at the images!
STORY FROM IMAGES
Stadium Cricket Academy ‘A’ achieved the target in 49 overs with 3 wickets in hand. Brief Score: 214/7 in 49 overs.
It was a close match lasted for 99 overs. Even though I would love to watch and officiate close encounters, this match was a different one by means of attitude of the players. I wish to make a note of the fact. The players perfomed for Stadium Cricket Academy (3 out of 4) were the former front and middle-line players of Tulip CC
However the spirit of the game was able to get in only after the end of the match which already had spoiled our morality. Hope those would not happen again by all means.
Finally and as usual i had umpired with Mr. Saravanan in the match.
Final Punch which I learnt from the match: The standard of cricket is only up to the standard of attitude of the players. A two sided knife will always harm us and the opponents and the middlemen too.
Thats all for the day!
Let us meet in an another match report!
