Kauvery Hospital enters into MOU with Tiruchi DCA
The Tiruchirapalli District Cricket Association (TDCA), affiliated to the Tamilnadu Cricket Association, has been administering the game in Trichy District for over six decades. The TDCA conducts its annual League and Knockout Tournament for the affiliated Institution and Club teams consisting of 5 Divisions with 10 teams each involving over 750 cricketers. This tournament involves 225 matches conducted on weekends of every week or public and Govt declared holidays involving around 12 grounds. The Knockout Tournament is conducted to replace the 2 teams that get relegated every year from the 5th Division. This tournament involves 35-45 teams involving over 600 cricketers competing to reach the finals and get promoted to the 5th Division of the League.
In an effort to further develop and promote the game of cricket and create better infra and facilities for the cricketers of Trichy, TDCA and Kauvery Hospital have entered into an MOU for 3 years to be the title sponsors of the TDCA League and Knockout Tournament commencing from the 2021 – 22 season. This MOU between Kauvery Hospital and TDCA shall be in force till the 2023 – 24 cricketing season during which Kauvery Hospital gets exclusive rights as the title sponsor with regards to all branding and reporting of the Kauvery Hospital – TDCA League and Knockout Tournament. The event to mark this title sponsorship is being held on 23rd Dec 2021 and the Kauvery Hospital – TDCA League Tournament for the year 2021 – 22 shall begin from the 26th Dec 2021.
