K. Arunkumar’s fiver –the highlight in Cosmo Village S.A.’s semi final victory
The tournament gearing to the final stage with the semi final matches at SNR Ground on this sunday (18.03.2012). In the first semi final match between Cosmo Village S.A and Coimbatore Raiders, Cosmo Village entered the final after defeating Coimbatore Raiders commendably. Cosmo Scored 144/8 in 20 overs. I. John Baptist was the impressive bowler who took 3 for 21 for Coimbatore Raiders. Coimbatore Raiders put an impressive reply with V. Sreenath scoring 48. But K. Arunkumar who took 5 for 24 along with S. Eswara Moorthy who took 3 for 17 ended the match in Cosmo’s favour.
Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC stormed into finals
In the other semi final encounter, Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC entered the final after defeating Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC in the after noon match at SNR. Mills posted 155/8 in 20 overs with N. Jagadeesan and K. Nazer scoring 43 and 36 respectively. A. Azhagendran and P. Vasanthakumar of Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC bowled impressively and shared 3 wickets each for 23 & 29 respectively. Then it was a team effort which bowled the Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC for 95 in 18.1 overs. It would be a dream for any team to enter a final in such a royal way.
